A very useful and appealing variation of L. salignum. Low, spreading habit (40cm high x 1.5m wide). Can be pruned severely to force into a lower, groundcover habit. Intensely deep, plum-red, slim bracts open to display white centres - late winter/spring. Foliage always tinged with deep red. Good drainage important. Frost hardy in most areas.

Bushy, dense growth habit to 1.5m x 1.5m or more. Large bronze-red bracts with creamy centres - autumn/winter/spring.  Nice picking.  Fast growing, reliable and generally frost hardy.

(Very similar to L. 'Jester') Distinctive, variegated 'sport' of 'Safari Sunset'. Leaves and bracts are pink, cream and green all year. Less vigorous than the parent, otherwise of similar habit. Striking for both garden display and picking purposes - quite different! Usually hardy and easily grown with good drainage and sun.  PVR.
