'Hybrida') A cross between the N.S.W. & Victorian 'Waratahs'.
A hardy, free-flowering and more easily grown Waratah. (If you can¹t grow
this one, you can't grow any of them!) Large, crimson, domed flowers on
long stems - October, but with occasional autumn flowers. Vigorous &
bushy to 3m+. Stands very hard pruning - desirable to keep it bushy (best
done straight after flowering) Good picking & garden display. Usually
frost hardy in most districts.

The
unique creamy-white waratah is quite a striking contrast to the red flowered
forms. Flowers need to be protected from wind and frost at time of development.
A sheltered position in either full sun or filtered light is required,
in free draining soil.
